WanderLust

It's safe to say that beach curls have been bang on trend recently and seen everywhere so with summer coming (kind of) now is the perfect time to let you in on my perfect simple and easy beach curl product. After seeing this (below) image on the gorgeous Charlotte Crosby's instagram page I couldn't help but purchase what she used.

For hair like this the only person you need in your life is the fabulous Mark Hill; he is hair stylist to the stars and the main thing I'm raving about today is his Ellipse Wand. This wand offers fuss free, easy and elegant waves and is really simple to use so check it out below.
I've always struggled with find the right curlers for me as I'm really fussy with curls in my hair but I honestly don't have a bad word to say about this wand. I've used it every day since I've bought it and is a definite must for the summer and holidays. Mark Hills site says, the wand"will give you a different wave every time – for a hair style that’s as individual as you are." I 100% stand by that quote and that is one of the reasons I absolutely love it. Not only does it give unique sexy waves but it's a bargain at only £19.99 so get your hands on one here.

The Ultimate Coffee Scrub

Thank god it's final Friday and what better way to see in the weekend than getting your scrub on. I don't usually blog about gifts but this product has very quickly turned into one of my must haves.
One of the main reasons I have fallen in love with this product is the smell. The flavour of this face scrub is Coffee and Evening Primrose and no exaggeration it's absolutely captivating; you don't even need to open the packet to smell the coffee and vanilla scenes but it's not over powering what so ever. It's as easy as pie to use too, all you have to do is wet your face, scoop out a teaspoon size amount onto your hand and get scrubbing. You really only need to apply a small amount as it goes a really long way.
As you can see in the image above the scrub is a dark brown colour and has the texture of sand. The naturalness of the sandy texture is so refreshing and something very different to other scrubs that are on the market as this isn't a creamy substance. I love the stripped back packaging also; it's bold simple and effective and I really don't have a bad word to say about it. Not only is this scrub amazing before and during application but once rinsed off your left with such smooth and cleansed skin.
You can pick these babies up at Tkmaxx so get a move on and get your own. They have loads of other flavours and I know I'll be purchasing them. I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.

All my love,
Over and out.

What's hot this year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR YOU LOVELY LOT! I'm very happy to be back after a very long overdue Christmas break and very ready to get back into the blogging game. So lets get down to it; I'm in a bit of a winter slump right now after having one too many mince pies so if you're anything like me then looking forward to this new year of new trends will get you excited. I like to make things easy for you guys so I've put together my favourite 2016 trends to keep you on top of the style stakes.
Fashion
The 70's have been paving the way forward recently; you can't seem to look anyway without finding a bit of fringing, flared trousers and a cheeky bit of suede and this year will be no exception. The 70's suede and fringing trend won't be packing it's bags any time soon and will carry on being one of the decades most loved fabrics.
Gingham will always hold a place in my heart but this year it will hold its place on the runway too. You may be thinking Gingham was so last year and you'd be correct but this year designers are sizing up and large plaids will be making their way into the shops.
Heavy weight denim are go to pieces for Autumn/Winter but this Spring it will all be about light weight denim. From dresses to skirts to shirts you'll receive that timeless look without getting too hot under the collar.
Beauty
Make up artists this year are very much united in using red lipstick. Of course red lips are an absolute classic. Snow whites red apple is as true as the colour gets so don't be afraid to give your day that pop of colour it deserves with a cheeky bit of red paint. One of my top tips for buying red lipstick is to invest; there is nothing worse than cheap red lipstick that by the end of the day you have more on your teeth than on your lips.
Are you ready for your bronzed glow? This year we don't need the sun to give us that. Highlighter and bronzer will be key for that natural looking sun kissed glow so start your summer early with a beautiful subtle bronze.
It's a french invasion this year as you'll be seeing french manicures all over the place but maybe with an edgy...edge? Designers have played around with French manicures and this year you'll be seeing them with punches of 80s colour, different shapes and looking a lot more fierce.
Hair
"She bangs, she bangs" Hooray for me, bangs (fringes) are back. Designers are using a lot more wigs and hair accessories now and fringes are no different. If you aren't brave enough to get yourself a full fringe then no problem, follow the models and grab yourself some fake bangs. Bangs can transform your look so why not try something different this year.
This year small tight braids are back and staying as little as ever. Moving away from the loose bohemian vibe we had last year and keeping it a lot more straight to the point. Add a few small braids to your hair to create a subtle texture and something a little different.
You may think that pigtails are only being seen in your old school photos but low pigtails are very much back. When worn lower and closer together the school vibe goes straight out the window and becomes very edgy and cool.

I hope this helps you guys a little bit to get your 2016 ready, if you have any questions for me you know what to do; just drop them below and you can see what I'm up to on social media with the icons to your right. I'll see you all Friday.

Adidas Ballerina

'Tis the season to party' so why not
stand out from the crowd and think outside the box. This time of year is my absolute favourite especially due to all the parties and festivities going and is an awesome excuse to dress up. Cute little party dresses aren't really me so choosing  two statement pieces and putting them together was a bit of a no brainer.

Formal parties should never come in the way of your true style and as you can see casual can easily be transformed into party wear with a big tutu and a pair of pretty heels.

After channeling Carrie Bradshaw I feel life is complete. If in doubt just remember, What would Carrie do?

Interview Attire

Hey my lovers, I can only do the usually thing and apologise for slacking so hard on my blog recently but I've been so busy at work. I hope you're all well and can enjoy my updates again.

Interview attire can sometimes be a tricky one to judge as your clothing choice will make the first impression.  A lot of people (me included) struggle with not wanting to wear something too smart or too casual. So keep reading for my tips to get that interview outfit spot on but firstly I shall tell you about what I'm wearing. Both the top and trousers are from you guessed it Asos. Using non patterned fabric can make just as much impact as a patterned fabrics so don't be afraid to colour block because it's such an easy way to create a chic and simple outfit. I am so obsessed right now with one colour garments and this white ribbed polo neck is my fave at the moment; it will go with anything from black jeans to a leather jacket to your gorgeous khaki's and aurbans which are bang on trend this Autumn.

Top tips:
  • If in doubt; over dress. You'd rather look smarter than looking too casual.
  • The most important thing is to be yourself. Wear what you feel comfortable in.
  • Your clothes can definitely make an impression so take a risk.
  • Don't be afraid to add a pop of colour.
  • If you do wear a skirt make sure it's not too far above the knee.
I hope this helps you guys out a little with your interview's and I shall see you on Wednesday. Enjoy your Monday evening.

Red Suedette

So it's clearly no secret that I'm slightly in love with the 70's trend and I'm pretty sure most of my recent posts have started this way so I can only apologise for not showing much versitility but we're still on trend so it's all good. I'm so happy to add this beauty to my suede collection especially as it's so different. Mostly suede pieces are creams, browns and blacks so I guess for that reason alone I'm pretty in love with it. Adding a simple top underneath and chunky platform boots keeps this outfit super casual but it also has great potential to become a super edgy 'going out out' outfit with a pair of killer lace up heel/boots and leather jacket. Another awesome thing about this dress is the A line shape which is perfect for most shapes as if your smaller you will be enhanced but if your curvy like me it will fall over your curves perfectly. It's lightweight, detailed, bang on trend and a beautiful rich colour for Autumn.

Give it some Flare

I think it's safe to say that I am 100% obsessed with the 70's trend and what says 70's more than flared jeans. A lot of people tend to avoid flared jeans as they think they can be swamping but it's quite the opposite. Of course it would be fabulous but you don't need legs like Kendall Jenner or Lily Donaldson to pull the flares off. Carry on reading to see how any shape or size can pull off the flared look. Don't get me wrong I was very dubious about trying flares as I am only 5'5 but like I said above you don't need killer legs, just a pair of killer heels. I picked these beauties up from Glamourous  for £32 which I'd say is a pretty sweet deal as they are extremely versatile. Not only are these perfect for the Autumn and an awesome statement piece but they are stretchy (Love heart emoji) so still really comfortable when you've had one too many roast dinners.

My tips on how to wear flares:
  • Don't be afraid to turn the hem up on your flares so you can wear them with flats for an every day look.
  • Aim for a slim fit around the waist, hips and thighs with the flare splaying out from the knee.
  • If your petite then you will look best in bootcuts as large flares can overwhelm your frame.
  • If you carry your weight on your legs, bum or tum then wider flares are absolutely perfect for you.
Don't be afraid to step out in flares girls...it's just about finding the perfect ones for your shape.
