Alternative buys

Hello all my beautiful readers. If you hadn't noticed, yesterday was my first day off from blogging since Stylish Sunrise started and it felt so weird. I get so caught up in blogging I was a bit lost today without you guys! Anyway in today's post I will be reviewing Liz Earles and Niveas Cleansers and toners to really find out if high priced products are really winners over cheaper products..So, let's get started.

As we all know Liz Earles skincare products are quiet high end products but as they are expensive they, of course, were calling my name and I had to try them. I used the cleanser and polish first which smells so beautiful and relaxing and then the instant boost which made my skin come alive. Personally I found the cleanser a bit too heavy on my skin but after using the boost it certainly lifted my skin. Both of these products used together are really soothing on the skin and takes your make up off really gently at the end of a long day. I do suffer with the odd break out and have very sensitive skin but these products really reacted well with my skin, it looked and felt a lot fresher and I would certainly recommend them if your willing to pay a minimum of £13 for each bottle.

Nivea toner and cleanser are my go to products and I do try to use them every day as they are a real bargain at the start price of £3.15 each bottle. Like I said with the Previous products I really love the boosting toner and as it's so refreshing, makes my skin feel so clean with a tingling boost. Personally on my budget I would have to go for Nivea every time but of course Liz Earles products are great to keep in your draws for a bit longer.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Mixmatchme

Today's post is a little different but I have to share this with all of you as I'm obsessed.
Ok so Mixmatchme gives you the chance to go online shopping and try your outfits on models. We all have that disappointing moment when we order something and it doesn't bit mixmatchme completely eliminates that problem.

Mixmatchme not only offer high street fashion like Miss Selfridge and Asos but they keep you updated with the latest trends and what's hot to buy which I really love.
Putting together outfits is quick, easy and so much. Basically it does what it says on the tin. Another really great thing about this website is that it keeps track of how much you would spend if you were to buy the outfit which means you don't get a nasty surprise at the check out.
Finally you can save all the garments you've put together on your model in your wardrobe which is really accessible and simple if you just want to by the coat and the jeans you matched and you don't have to be a computer whizz to understand what's going on.

This website has really changed the way I shop online, go and check it out.

The little white bottle

So yesterday I got my hands on on this St. Moriz instant self tan mousse and I have to say it's amazing! Like I've said before I'm very pale and use self tan a lot while trying not to look like an Umpa Lump. Of course we all hate to look orange, streaky or end up having brown sheets and I must confess this is the answer.

This is the first mousse tan I've ever used and I can't believe I've never used it before as it's so easy and simple to apply. This tan doesn't have a funny smell and is perfect for this time of year when we feel horribly pale but still want a subtle healthy glow.
I chose to use Medium and it was the best tone for me. I Would really recommend this Self tanning mousse. Such a great buy.

Fake tan top tips:

PREPARATION is key. Make sure you try to moisturise everyday and before tanning get exfoliating to get rid of any dead skin.

Maybe slightly obvious but make sure to use GLOVES. There is nothing worse than having dirty tanned nails so you've taken your gloves off apply a small amount of tan to a cotton pad and tan the back of your hands.

Dab VASELINE on your hair line and eyebrows so you don't end up with ginger tan dyed hair.

Thanks for reading my darlings,

The Magic of Make-up

Today I finally received my goodies from Collection and Essence.
Right now I'm a little obsessed with contouring and you can't really see the results in the picture which I apologise for but I really liked using these collection products. The highlighting stick was really light and bright on my skin so it look really subtle and natural. As I have quiet pale skin when using bronzer I make sure I brush a rosy blush on the Apple of my cheeks so it doesn't look too much like a dodgy tan. I would really recommend these products as they are long lasting and super easy to apply. When contouring your face make sure you know your face so you can highlight it best. Props to Collection!

When i think of lipliner i think the 90's so its hardly a surprise that I've never actually used lipliner or essence in fact so I thought I'd give them both a good. I remember my mum always telling me as a kid to never get lipliner darker than your actual lipstick and it get a lipliner one shade lighter than your lipstick so of course I listened. I was quite surprised with the results that the lipliner gave and made my lips look a bit more fuller. I really didn't wanna do a Kylie Jenner but I draw slightly over my lip line to create a bit more of an impact. I love it and will definitely keeping up with the lipliner and essence.

❄Christmas Fever❄

It was only a matter of time when Christmas fever was going to hit me and today I am ashamed to say is that day.
I'm very partial to a cheesy Christmas jumper but theres something about the cut and pattern of this Asos jumper that brings it bang up to date and gives you a chance to maybe wear it other than Christmas day.

This outfit is admitibly very matchy-matchy but if you dare to I think it can be pulled off...I hope ;) The contrast and different tones of reds really pull the outfit together as colour matching is very in for Winter 2014. What more can I say it's daring, different and delightful haha.

These tartan leggings are my must have buy, they go with just about anything and can really make a statement. Unlike normal stretchy leggings are bit tighter round the legs (probably because of my thunder thighs but hey) and really suck you in but are really comfortable and soft.
And finally the pier de résistance; these amazing shoes from Fabric Boutique. Now these shoes crazy but they are soooo comfortable. The platform and hell is perfect for all day use and work with just about anything...except from the rain :p

Winter Wishlist

Hello beautiful people,

I know this is only my second proper post but I really wanted to go for a wishlist post but I'm getting way too excited for Christmas and couldn't help but put these beauties together. And hopefully if I put a word in with the big man early I might get these babies under the Christmas tree ;)

I cant explain how much I love this jumper, for a long time now I have been following the vintage inspired knitwear by Wildfox couture. I love their edgy knit wear with rips and different patterns used which is a perfect winter warmer and Wildfox really pull off the cute but quirky look. I'm so in love with this knit plaid jumper to make a statement teamed with a dark pair of jeans. Not only is this a perfect winter warmer but it pops with lovely autumny, Christmasy colours which we all love.

I find that if I'm wearing an oversized jumper that it's best to wear a pair of skinnies to even out the outfit so you don't look like your wearing one big sack. H&m is my favourite go to high street shop and when I found these jeans I knew I had to have them. I really like the over exaggerated rips and holes that cover these washed out jeans.

When wearing jeans and boots fit wise, you want a jean that hits right above the top of the boot so your not cutting your legs off too much. Doc martens have been on my wishlist for so long now but I really don't know whether to go for patinė or normal ones like pictured above. I chose to match the normal dms with this outfit as I thought the patinė would be too much. I can't get enough of doc martens and am ashamed to say I don't have a pair in my cupboard...(sad face). I really love a vintage look and doc martens have that written all over them. They are perfect for all year round and to rock with any outfit.

This is a casual everyday outfit and teamed with a some cuff rings will really make a statement and pull the outfit together. I found some really great buys at www.ringsandtings.com and was really interested when I saw that they offer a 'lucky dip' which offers you a chance to let them chose £15 worth of jewellery for you for just £10. I think it's a great way of making your outfit that little but more different. Great idea and a great website with fun and stunning jewellery. Check it out.

Fabulous in Fur

Fur is that staple item we all need in our wardrobe for autumn/winter. Whether it be dressing a cropped long fur coat with a dress or an oversized coat with a pair of jeans, fur coats will work with almost anything. I have absolutely fallen in love with this leopard fur coat...now I look slightly like pat butcher but who knows this coat might not even be on the rails without a cheeky touch from that big earring wearing delight ;) anyway moving swiftly on, I was extremely surprised  when I walked into tescos and saw this beauty looking back at me. I didnt think id be writing my first blog about tesco but F&F have no doubtibly stepped their game up and clearly have inevative and new ideas coming our way. This coat fits like a glove and has a beautiful black slik lining to compliment the fur. Faux fur is always really expensive but it's such a good investment when you'll have it in your cupboard from years to come. It may not be real but I feel pretty damn fabulous!

Top tip: Dont go too OTT with accessories. One item of fur is enough to make a statement. Too matchy-matchy with a hat and scarf takes the look from chic to cheap.

The Sunrise Queen

Hello everyone,
My name is Shannon McCartney (sadly not related to Stella) and I'm 19 years old. I hate to say that I am blogging virgin but I am looking forward to sharing my loves, life and thoughts. I am an aspiring fashion stylist and I love to be quirky and interesting with my fashion choices with oversized loud shirts and chunky platform boots and can't wait to share my much haves throughout the week. Not only will I be sharing my style loves but health and beauty tips, secrets and must haves.
Since the age the age of 13 I have been struggling with anxiety, panic attacks and depression and after reading the inspirational Zoella's posts it really inspired to share my fears and stories and try and help at least one person with anxiety or simply just help people understand. expressing my feelings on such a big, scary place is extremely daunting but anxiety and depression has made me into the person I am today. I may not be normal but who is.
We all do the same thing, its how we do it which makes us different. Love me or hate me, there's no pleasing everybody.
Now lets have some fun.
