Down by the pool

As I've been on holiday a few days now I thought it would only be right to show you my pool/beach. Comfort and style is key for me so let me work you though you look and give you some pointers on looking 'beach ready' without having to go to the gym. Firstly I must say how much I absolutely love this swimsuit. Swimsuits have come into fashion a recently and is available in so many quirky styles just like bikinis. As I not super into my tummy I prefer wearing a swimsuit but the edgy bang netting gives you the illusion of a swimsuit is cut away a lot more. The cut away Swimsuits are ideal for anyone that wants to slightly cover up but still have enough skin on show and is a really good alternative to bikini or normal swimsuit.

If you know me I'm not a plain Jane so matching this shirt with my swimsuit using a similar pattern was a no brainer. This shirt is so ideal for a summer cover up as it's beautiful linen type fabric which is really cool but the pattern adds a bit more vavavoom so it can be taken from day to night throughout most seasons with laying, tucking in an unbuttoning.

Check out my top swinsuit tips below:
  • If your a pear shape; don't choose a stylish swimsuit if it doesn't suit you. The fit is more important than anything.
  • The key to the perfect swimsuit is balancing your proportions and getting the coverage you need for your bottom half.
  •  If you're well-endowed on top, then support is key. Opt for suits, underwire or molded cups which will support you the best.
  • If you have a small frame and want to look more curvy, then go for horizontal stripes as they will fill you out in all the right spots.
  • If you want to make your booty pop then wearing a swinsuit that is cut high on your bottom and using a eye catching pattern like I have will give your bum that extra pop.
Don't ever be a fair to work with what have and let eyes be on you.

Three ways to wear Pt3

So we finally have Part 3 of 'Three ways to wear', hooray. If you haven't seen part one or two then what are you doing here you crazy lot! Just click here and here to check then out. So know you've seen one and two ;) you can finally see how blooming versitle this jumpsuit is and an absolute must. One of the many great thing about this jumpsuit is the fabric; it's a soft silky fabric which look really rich with the vibrant colours but as it's silky it's quiet a cool loose fitting fabric so like I have shown you it's really easy to put pieces over the top without making it look bulky or getting too hot. The easiest way of creating three very different jumpsuit outfits is what you put with it. Which one is your fave? Let me know below.

Dear Diary

Hey guys, so I know yesterday I was mean't to post the last installment of my 'Three ways to wear' but I've had a hetic couple of days so I thought I'd do a 'Dear Diary' post instead. Holidays for most people are a daunting but exciting experience but add in panic attacks, anxiety and one massive fear of flying then it's a whole new kettle of fish. Nerves kicked in at about one o'clock Friday morning getting lost in the mist of last minute packing and the usual family disagreements. I didn't want to leave because I didn't want to put myself in an uncomfortable situation, I know that's not how you should live your life but when it comes to panic attacks that completely flies out the window. 5.45 and we're boarding the plane while  shaking my legs and arms around to get rid of the anxiety. We're one of the first people to board and it couldn't have been a worse idea as I was sat on the plane stewing and panicking for half an hour waiting for everyone else to get on. And the it starts "I'm gunna be sick", "I'm panicking", "I can't do this" and "I need the toilet".  My fear of flying was completely taken over by the fear of panicking; so yes in the end I was panicking about panicking which is what most of my life consists of. I ended up having a panic attack for the whole two and a half hour journey to Spain.  Up and down to the toilet while people starred at the weirdo making a massive fuss. The waiting, lack of control and uncertainty is the main thing that ruins any new opportunity. First night and I woke up almost every hour panicking, trying to sleep with relaxing rain music and meditation apps. It may not be a quick fix and it certainly doesn't help when my anxiety has taken over completely mediation apps really have helped me to focus when I do start to panic so if you do struggle I'd definitely suggest downloading one. Fingers crossed I'll settle in soon and you can see all I've been up to. Take care guys.

Three ways to wear Pt2

With such a loud and bright pattern a lot of people can be scared off but by adding a black crop to this jumpsuit makes it a little more subtle and casual. Using a block colour from the pattern is key to creating a statement which makes it look like two separate pieces which blend together nicely. If you love a bold look then pattern mixing/matching is another really unique way of styling a jumpsuit but always remember; try and go for a similar pattern or colours and something that is a lot larger or smaller than your current piece so you don't look too much like a patch work quilt. Another bonus to keeping it plain on top is that it's a great opportunity to go really over the top with you jewellery; where it be a statement piece like mine or a few delicate pieces. A quick shout out for these shoes also. Im paynts at walking in heels and usually opt for a lower heel but with the support of the strap and the wedge the shoes are unbelievably easy to walk in and really comfortable.

My top jumpsuit tips:
  • Whatever size you are, always try and draw the attention to your waist. Whether it be with a belt, jacket and a jumpsuit with a fitted waist to give you that perfect curve and keep you in proportion.
  • If you are beautifully curvy then you should usually avoid big printed patterns and stick to solid colours which will enhance your curves naturally.
  • Don't be afraid to mix it up. Like I've shown you, it's super easy to change elements of your outfit which will take you through from day till night.
  • If your busty or have wider shoulders then the best style to balance you out is a wider legged jumpsuit but if your not carrying the goods as much upstairs then choosing a jumpsuit that has a lot of detailing on the chest/shoulders will give the illusion of a bigger bust.
  • The biggest tip from me to you is to just feel comfortable in what your wearing. Wear it with a smile girls and strut your stuff.

Three ways to wear Pt1

Jumpsuits are one of my favourite things to wear during the summer as they are the best of both worlds; comfortable and fashionable. This week I'll be showing you how easy it is to switch up a jumpsuit and create three different outfits with just one key item. Regardless of your shage or age you can easily find the perfect fit for you. This beautiful tile print jumpsuit is great for any occasion and the print is ideal for the summer sun. I absolutely adore the fit of jumpsuit, as it cinches you in at the waist and then A lines out so you don't have to worry too much about how white or slightly hairy your legs are looking. As you can see, the low back comes complete with cross over straps and halter type neck line. The only problem I usually find with this detailing is that you usually have to go braless which I don't really like as I hate my boobs BUT this jumpsuit has very cleverly placed darts (a dart is used to create shape in material which allows it to fit the body perfectly) coming from the waistline all the way up to the nipple point to add extra shape to hug them boobies and keep them secure.

Make sure you keep an eye out for my next two posts which go live at 5 on Wednesday and Friday to see how else I've styled this piece. Also tips on how to find the perfect jumpsuit for your shape.

Crochet

Gone are the days that crochet is only seen on your grandma's table. Crochet is now one of this Summer's best trends. Like florals in summer, crochet is a no brainer with the beautiful 70's vibe, colours and unique pattern. What I love about crochet is that the styles are never ending with elegant small white crochet detail or a bold pattern like mine. The seventies trend has been bought bang up to date with different cuts and styles which is ideal for right now.

This top is so versitle and also could be used as on overlay on a dress to create a really edgy and fun look. This beauty is slightly cropped so go and check out my previous post on how any shape and size can find a crop top to flatter them here .

Missguided Maxi

A maxi dress is a key piece to have in your wardrobe for summer if you want to make a statement. The best thing about maxi dresses is that it doesn't exclude any shape or size; when done right you can all look blooming fabulous yet comfortable at the same time.

I absolutely adore this paisley number from Missguided as it's so light, flowy and just perfect for summer. It fits beautifully and with the adjustable tassels at the back you know your boobies are fully supported and not going anywhere. The cheeky slit up each side adds a sexy edge to it and makes it a lot easier to take it to an evening outfit teamed with a pair of killer heels. Pairing this pretty dress with a pair of Doc martens adds a fun edge to this cute outfit and makes it a great festival ensemble.

If your struggling to find a maxi dress that flatters your figure, then check out my top tips below:
  • If your petite then your main goal is to avoid looking like a tent so sticking with a fitted maxi will be best for you.
  • If your plus size then whatever you do don't cover your body with a massive dress, a fitted but loose dress will flatter you best.
  • If your curvy, a large print dress will compliment your frame without taken away from your beautiful curves.
  • Long vertical prints are great to elongate and slim down any figure.
  • Don't be afraid to belt it up which will define your waist.

Badass

Do you dare to bare? Whether it's a cropped gym top, cute bralette or a badass crop; there is no doubt crop tops have been seen everywhere recently as they are so versitly and surprisingly easy to pull off with any body shape. I'm the first person to admit that I'm not body confident which I'm sure you find odd for a fashion blogger but it's all about dressing your shape.

If anyone has shown the world that curvy girls can and should wear crop tops, it’s of course Kim Kardashian. She’s walking proof that a crop top truly is the perfect way to show off your assets. To make the most of your firgue a crop top that hits right at your true waist, paired with a bodycon skirt which hits just below your knees is perfect.

If you’re on the shorter side then your best bet is to reach for a crop top that has a bit of a lifted or rolled hem (like mine) which will give you the illusion of longer legs.
If your pear shaped then a lighter colour up top will make your upper body look slightly wider so you don’t appear too bottom heavy. Teamed with a pair of high-waisted jeans will make your waist and hips look smaller.

I love this soft jersey floral printed top as it's really versitle, comfy and super edgy teamed with ripped pair of jeans makes this a really effortless and fun everyday look. Dare to bare ladies!
