Oversized Denim

My love for oversized shirts is never ending and I've just added this beauty to the collection. I've been looking for a denim shirt for a long time now but but I can never really find the right wash, cut or material but I saw this on Boohoo the other day and instantly knew I had to have it, especially as it was only 16 pounds. The model on Boohoo was wearing it with just a black pair of jeans and a small silver necklace but the style of the shirt made it look so powerful. The shirt is cotton but Boohoo have really pulled off the denim look well which keeps it off the tacky scale 100%.

This shirt can be so easily dressed up or down with a jersey skirt and gladiator sandals like me or if you wanted to make it super edgy, teaming it with a black leather jacket , skinny jeans and a pair of biker boots. Tucked in or out, buttoned up or down there is no doubting this shirt is a staple item to have in your wardrobe so get on the denim shirt train. Also quick tip, I had a bit of trouble checking out on Boohoo for some reason or anonther, so I wrote out a tweet saying 'Boohoo why you no work' (not expecting anything back) but in seconds the Boohoo help team tweeted back and you guessed it...helped me. The guy was so kind and helpful so if you do ever have any trouble,  be sure to give them a cheeky tweet.

Boohoo Lace

For me, this summer is all about lace. Lace is an essential summer piece as it's so light weight, pretty and will go with just about anything. Not only is it beautiful to look at but it's bang on trend fitting in with the 70's vibe that is so stylish right now. Lace is super sexy, edgy and versatile so don't be afraid to experiment with different lace garments.

I bought this lace top from Boohoo the other day and I can honestly say it's one of them items that you see online and doesn't disappoint when it gets delivered. It was an absolute steal at only 12 quid so it really would have been rude not to. I don't like tops to be too tight on me as I don't like my belly and as it's such a sheer fabric, which is why I ordered a size 14 instead of a size 12 and I'm really happy I did. Of course it's personal preference and sizing but if you do want it looser definitely go for a size up. The cut, fabric, detailing and like I said before versatility are perfect for throwing together a day to night outfit without trying too hard. Boohoo are really great for bohemian bits right now and I really cannot recommend them or this top enough. Lace is more ladies, lace is more.

Review: Sebamed

For the last 28 days I've been reviewing three products from Sebamed. Sebamed were the first company to identify and pioneer the pH 5.5 healthy skincare balance. I suffer with a lot of break outs especially at the time of the month and can never do anything to get rid of them, so I was really excited to get started on this product. I was sent three lots of 3 samples which lasted me for the whole 28 days and brilliant instructions on how to use these products; not only that but steps on which one to use first, second and third to get the best results. 'The first and most important step on your path to clean skin is thoroughly cleasing'.
And I absolutely loved this cleansing bar. The smell of this bar was so fresh and foamed really effectively to really cover the face and neck. I really liked using this product in the shower instead of normal face wash as I felt it really worked in giving me a cleaner complexion.
Step 2 was toning and this is my favourite part of these 3 steps as I'm such a fan of deep cleasing toners and I have to say this is the best one I've ever used. It leaves your skin feeling super refreshed and is perfect for reducing oily skin which I really struggle with. After just using step one and two I found my complexion was a lot more even, spots were less red and it had elminated a lot of black heads.

Now the last step was tricky for me as I feel it didn't really agree with my skin. Admittedly the gel was very oily, as you can see in the images above, but when rubbed in it soaks into the skin brilliantly but left my skin oily still. Sebamed claim that the gel 'leaves the skin feeling soft and hydrated' which I must agree with but the oilyness wasn't a winner for me.

Positives:
  • Great cooling and refreshing sensation with the toner.
  • Lovely smelling.
  • Professional and clean packaging.
  • Didn't cause any extra break outs.
  • The bar and gel are very long lasting and you don't need to use much of them.
Negatives:
  • How oily the gel was.
  • Didn't heal ALL break outs.

I used these products every single night for 28 days so would I purchase it myself? Overall I was pleased with the product and would definitely purchase the cleansing bar and cleasing toner. So thank you Sebamed.

Flamingo V Paisley

When it comes to buying pieces from Ebay, it's really the luck game. Sometimes it can go well and sometimes really wrong but I can't tell you how much I love this shirt. It's really good quality and I find Ebay is a really good place to find unique and quirky shirts like these. Clashing patterns are ideal for summer and is a great way of adding a bit of humor to your style.

If you follow my blog you'll know I love paisley so pattern clashing with paisley was a no brainer. I bought this dress a few years ago from Missguided and I fell in love with the cut. As I'm quite 'hippy' (as in big hips) with slimmer waist, the fall from the waistline really flatters the figure and is great for covering any imperfections. Sadly they don't sell this dress anymore but they have the exact same cut and style of dress at Motel Rocks so differently check it out.

The 80's called, they want their jacket back.

While having a good rummage through my mum's old clothes I found this incredible jacket and it's safe to say I'm a little in love. You can't go wrong with a tan jacket but as this jacket is 30 years old the cut and shape is so different to anything you can pick up now. The big balloon type sleeves are more like something you'd find on a bomber jacket and wear and tear just adds so much more character than a brand new jacket. I'm a big fan of vintage clothes as it's so much fun mixing them with new clothes. Before you throw any old clothes out make sure to think about it a little longer as the amount of times I've chucked clothes out and regretted it weeks later is ridiculous.

Cheeky bit on these boots; yes I have blogged them before but I cannot recommend then enough! I literally wear them all the time as they are so comfortable and durable. I usually find that knee high boots can be difficult to wear with trousers as you can't do the zip up with the extra material but I find these boots work a lot better with trousers than if you were to wear them bare legged. The platform makes them super easy to walk in and a real all day boot.

Tropical Storm

This outfit is so unlike anything that I'd ever wear but when I saw this a few weeks ago in Dorothy Perkins I just thought it's so ideal for the summer. Tropical prints scream summer and this two piece is perfect for hot summer days and cooler nights. The trousers are beyond comfortable as the linen fabric keeps you super cool and the elastic waist makes it super flattering. I can easily imagine wearing the trousers on holiday with a bikini top and in the evening dressing it up with the top, clutch and heels. Tropical prints are a lot of fun but I love the fact this outfit has another dimension with the clashing pattern. Vibrant, bright colours are always brilliant for summer, so get your tropical storm on.

Ripped Jeans and Pastels

I am beyond happy to finally share a few of these pieces. So firstly this beautiful pink trench coat from Per Una; I don't usually shop in Marks and Spencer but I was so surprised at what I found in there, as most people class marks and sparks for the elder generation but I absolutely fell in love with this trench. The fit is so amazing and is perfect for any weather, I feel so sleek in it. The Jacket is really heavy, beautifully tailored, waist adjustable and well worth the investment.

Secondly these incredible Lilac Patent Croc Stilletos which were sent to me by the lovelies from Missguided. The photos don't do them justice as they also have gold in between the Croc scales. These heels are so perfect for any type of outfit like your LBD, boyfriend jeans like mine or a floral playsuit.

I absolutely love the versatility of these jeans and can really transform an outfit by just rolling the bottoms up or down. If you want to see my previous 'Ripped Jeans and...' then simply click HERE. Also a quick note about my shirt; I cannot express to you how much of a must have this is for summer, it's a simple linen white shirt but really thin and a really nice fit. I love to wear over a bikini on holiday as it's so easy to through on and keeps you super cool. This shirt is from Tesco, shocker I know, but I've said it before and I'll say it again, F&F clothing are starting to become real contenders in the fashion stakes so make sure you keep your eyes out and look in shops you usually wouldn't as you might come across a winner like this jacket and shirt.
